Alice McKee is a writer and BAFTA-losing documentary-maker.

Here’s some of their work:

Missionaries

Coming 2024.

Perverts

There’s nothing less sexy than the cloakroom queue at a sex party. Perverts is a monologue about queer desire, queer shame and a terrible night out.

Alice’s second play debuted at Queer Fringe Festival in 2022, followed by a run at Vault Festival in 2023. The Independent listed Perverts as one of 13 unmissable highlights, amongst Vault’s 500+ shows. The production made its Off West End debut at King’s Head Theatre with a sold out run.

Perverts has been nominated for Best New Play at the Offies.

Selected as one of Channel 4’s New Writers, Alice is currently developing Perverts as a TV drama, mentored by Sid Gentle Films and Jodie Caron.

Moderation

A social media moderator is forced to view thousands of graphic images every day. At a toddler’s birthday party, she finds herself plagued by intrusive thoughts.

Alice’s debut short play Moderation was produced by Bitter Pill Theatre, starring Freya Mavor and directed by Max Elton.

Moderation is now being reworked as a full length play and has received development funding from Bristol Old Vic through the Ferment scheme.

Lull

A strange young woman tells an insomniac a bedtime story. A lo-fi sci-fi exploring mental health apps, Lull is currently in development.

The project was orginally conceptualised as a short film and received funding from the BFI and Ffilm Cymru Wales, through which Alice was mentored by Prano Bailey-Bond.
